The below questions should be asked when any electricity company comes to install smart meters.
Do not be afraid of police. Ask them under which section of BNSS they come to force smart meters
FB live recording as soon as they come
Lock your meter box. They cannot break it. It is a dacoity offence.
1. Provide the notice issued to every consumer of the building under section 171 of electricity act with acknowledgement and consent of consumers
2. Provide the certificate issued by the state of Maharashtra meteorological department stating that each meter which is installed is tested checked and correct
3. MESEDCL, BEST Adani, Tata power is a private electric company and RDSS scheme is only for state owned electricity company therefore the above electricity companies is not entitled to enter the premises.
4. The notice given to each consumer stating the date and time on which the electricity company persons will come to install smart metres with the acknowledgement of each of the consumers
