# Elphinstone bridge demolition is fraud
It will be another destruction like Hancock bridge not completed since last 10 years only because the obstructing legal building are not demolished and the legal occupants are not provided permanent accomodation within same area or compensation at market price to purchase a similar house.
Our elected representatives have failed to discharge duty in almost every matter and every bridge.
The MMRDA has
a. not provided any details of rehabilitation
b. Not provided the structural report which says bridge is beyond repais hence it should be demolished
C. Not provided structural audit report, real time structural health monitoring report, six monthly structural audit stability report
D. THE MMRDA has not provided their staff strength to inform the citizens their capability to complete the project
E. Most of the bridges constructed by MMRDA are substandard andbad quality.
F. To escape responsibility they hand over the substandard bridges to BMC who bears the repairs and maintenance of such substandard work at tax payer cost.
MMRDA has not provided the writing consent of BMC has readiness, infrastructure and staff quality to manage such bridge at height of 10 floors
But MMRDA want to demolish the bridge and cause harassment to the citizens without application of mind and without considering the difficulty of comman man.
Request the citizens to challenge this illegal activities and go to the office of MMRDA.
