Since more than one year I have been on roads and taken every opportunity to create awareness of the dishonest intentions to install smart electric meters and these electric companies concealing and misrepresenting true facts namely
- That smart meters are installed free of cost. ( Actually 60 paise per unit is charged)
- Illegal wheeling charges ( around 25% of the bill)
- TOD TIME OF DAY) SURGING CHARGES i.e. 20% increase for use of electricity between 5 to 10 pm peak hours.
I had requested all institutions and associations all over Maharashtra by sending every email to them to create awareness
A. to oppose and come on roads to create awareness.
B. Fix banners in every of the shops of their members
Unfortunately no one supported being afraid to support the truth and in the process support the loot of consumers.
But at least now I hope consumers will wake up and file police complaint and prosecute the electric companies and others for such fraud played on citizens by illegal installation of smart meters
The world is the worst not because of bad people but because of the silence of good people who want to play safe and be in their comfort zone and want to enjoy the benefits of sacrifices and hard work of few.
Very sad and surely such irresponsible conduct of individual citizens and institutions and associations will lead the nation to destruction by exploiting the consumers
